CleanCalco®

CleanCalco® Depurcal is an engineered high performance hydrated lime with a high content of magnesium, which is activated at high temperature (>850°C) and used to remove gaseous acid pollutants by dry injection. This injection at the early stage of the flue gas path allows direct reduction of the pollutant load and improves boiler cleanliness. These combined advantages lead to optimized compliance costs in synergy with the existing flue gas cleaning technology while maximizing the boiler efficiency.
                                  

CleanCalco® HPV is our engineered hydrated lime product for dry flue gas cleaning treatment. The specific surface (BET) of this hydrate is increased above 40 m²/g and the porous volume reaches 0.2 cm³/g. This increased specific surface and high porosity offer a larger contact surface with the pollutant, resulting in the highest efficiency available on the market on key environmental acidic components (SOX, HCl, HF). This improved performance leads to a reduced reagent need, thus reducing the environmental impact (CO₂ emission, etc.).

CleanCalco® FGC is our optimized hydrated lime for (semi-)dry flue gas cleaning when the specific surface is optimized. Several enhancements can be made to reduce reagent consumption. These include reagent recirculation, reactivation, and conditioning. CleanCalco® FGC is fully compatible with and optimized for these processes. If some processes require higher performance, our engineered hydrated lime product, CleanCalco® HPV, can be used to achieve this additional step with a reduced increase in specific consumption.

CleanCalco® FGC-AC is an all-in-one homogeneous and tailor-made product. It contains activated carbon to mitigate micropollutants and hydrated lime to remove acidic pollutants. The quantity of activated carbon contained is customized to fit the particular needs of each flue gas cleaning process. The final product is safer to use (no ATEX) and as the mixture is homogeneous, the spread of the activated carbon through the entire flow is easier.
                     

CleanCalco® SD is our hydrated lime designed for suspension. This ready-to-use, dry, white powder can be easily added into suspension to prepare lime milk. Its properties allow the generation of a reactive lime milk with a high Ca(OH)₂ content and homogeneous particle size distribution. This extra-fine powder can also be used in dry processes where small particle size and low distribution are required.

CleanCalco® CDS is our special quicklime for the on-site hydration process. The properties of this quicklime enable the production of hydrated lime with consistent properties and smooth operations. Our associated services and our technical team can support operations, thus helping to facilitate the process even further.

CleanCalco® QL is our special quicklime for on-site milk-of-lime extinguishment and is optimized to fit the installed hydration process. This product offers a high consistency in the reactivity and purity, in order to maintain smooth operation of the milk-of-lime preparation unit. CleanCalco® Q is delivered fully milled, with constant particle size, and is ready to use in the slaking process. Our associated services and technical team can support operations to facilitate this process.

CleanCalco® LS is our special limestone product range for wet processes. It’s selected based on users’ specifications for physical properties, chemical composition, and high reactivity, in order to achieve sufficient removal efficiencies at reduced operating costs. CleanCalco® LS can be delivered fully milled, with a constant particle size, or in a lump form to be milled by the user with the support of the Carmeuse technical team.

CleanCalco® FBC is our special limestone product range for fluidized bed injection. It’s selected based on users’ specifications for physical properties, chemical composition, and high reactivity, in order to achieve sufficient removal efficiencies at reduced operating costs. CleanCalco® FBC is delivered fully milled, with a constant particle size, fitting the requirements of the boiler.
